  2. Explain what a muckraker was. Describe some of the leading muckrakers and their works.
  3. Explain how women tried to reform society and gain the right to vote.
  4. Describe the struggle of labor to reform working conditions, attempts at reform and tragedies such as the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire and/or Ludlow Strike.
  5. Compare the ideas and accomplishments of Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. Dubois.
  6. Evaluate the presidencies of the Progressive Era Presidents. Compare the Square Deal and New Freedom.
  7. Discuss the Election of 1912—name the participants, their parties and the results.
  8. Explain how the Federal Government used the Federal Reserve System and the Clayton Anti-Trust Act to regulate business and the economy.
